Detroit Lakes Site $50,000 Goal
Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes has an Anonymous Match Partner this year who is matching Giving Hearts Day gifts up to $25,000!
This year, gifts will go to work to enhance and expand the programs offered for club members and families. Additionally, the support shown on Giving Hearts Day helps children grow academically, socially, and civically each day while being surrounded by caring, adult mentors who build meaningful relationships with them.
Boys & Girls Club of the Perham Area has been in its new space for a year and are excited to serve more youth and increase the impact in the community of Perham. The Perham Unit serves an average of 100 members per day Kindergarten through 7th grade. The club space is designed to meet the needs of each grade level, including a dedicated Teen Center, a full kitchen, gym, and outdoor area.
Gifts given this year will be used to improve the club's outdoor play space by adding shade areas, picnic tables, and additional equipment to enhance outdoor programming.
About Giving Hearts Day Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour online fundraising event hosted by Dakota Medical Foundation and The Impact Foundation. Charities Organizations participating in Giving Hearts Day obtain matching funds to double the impact of donations. This year marks the 15th consecutive year of Giving Hearts Day, and 400 nonprofits and charitable causes from all over North Dakota and western Minnesota are expected to participate. Since it began in 2008, Giving Hearts Day has raised more than $90 million for charities.
